Firearm Law Society · Est. 2026

The law is the terrain.
We teach people to read the map.

FaLS is an independent educational organization focused on Tennessee firearm law — written for the people who carry, and the people who enforce. We turn dense, fast-changing statutes and regulations into plain-English summaries, built on one belief: the best advocacy is accessible, unbiased information — and a better-educated firearms community is a safer one.

§I

What we hold

Art. 1

Summaries you can verify

We take dense statutes and regulations and turn them into plain-English summaries — each one linked straight back to the actual source so you're never taking our word for it.

Art. 2

Open access

Statutes, regulations, and case law are public. Understanding them shouldn't require a law degree or a retainer.

Art. 3

Rigor over rhetoric

Every claim traces to a statute, a case, or a regulation — cited plainly enough that you can go check it yourself.

Mission

Advocacy through education — turning Tennessee firearm law into something every owner, dealer, and officer can actually read and rely on.

§II

What we do

Publish plain-language handbooks

Booklet-format guides — like our Tennessee firearm law handbook — that translate statute and case law into something a non-lawyer can actually carry and use.

Track what's changing, and why

We follow recent regulatory and legislative changes and dig into the reasoning behind them — court decisions, legislative intent, and conversations with people working the issue day to day. We report what happened and why, not what should happen.

Build a resource library

A growing, freely available collection of guides, statute summaries, and reading lists — a starting point, not a substitute for counsel.
